
James "Jay" Denny, III CLU, ChFC

James R. ‘Jay’ Denny, III is a long-term Financial Professional with Equitable Advisors. Since 1978, he has worked with individuals and businesses in developing and implementing financial plans, employee benefit programs and retirement planning strategies. Jay is involved in both his profession and his community. He is past president of the Estate Planning Council of Richmond, Richmond Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the Richmond branch of the Society of Financial Services Professional (SFSP). In the community, he has served as Virginia Chair of the Arthritis Foundation. For several years he was on the pension board of the Virginia Methodist Conference. Jay has earned the titles Qualified Plans Specialist* and Retirement Planning Specialist** with Equitable Advisors and is also a Qualifying and Life Member of the industry standard Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). He was inducted into the Equitable Advisors Hall of Fame in 2010. He holds designations from the American College – CLU, ChFC and RICP. Jay, a graduate of Washington and Lee University, and his wife, Judi, have a daughter, Sarah. In his spare time, Jay enjoys baseball, running, reading and photography.
